Debates about AI, robotics and automation stealing people’s jobs have been rumbling on for over a decade. But fears about their impact on work have suddenly become a lot more serious with the rise of large language models. It no longer seems unreasonable for clerical staff, lawyers, marketers, and even creative workers to be concerned about what this technology could mean for them. Indeed, there have been reports of many skilled workers – such as graphic designers – seeing their work dry up.
