Sanjeevan Bala is responsible for transforming ITV, the integrated published broadcaster, to fully leverage the value of data and AI to create value for Studio Production, Studio Distribution, Commissioning, Scheduling, Distribution, Marketing and Commercial. Prior to this he was Channel 4’s Head of Data Science where he built a multi award winning team in which he combined human creativity with machine intelligence to drive growth and innovation. He has built some of the most diverse digital teams in the industry and continues to. Prior to this he was Group Account Director at Dunnhumby (the company that leveraged Tesco club card data) where he established digital strategies and customer centric change for clients such as BskyB, eBay, Citibank, Centrica and Sobeys. He has also spent time in Silicon Valley, where he built and scaled a number of start-ups. Sanjeevan is consistently ranked most influential in Data in the UK and Internationally and under his leadership his teams have won numerous awards for Innovation and patents. He is also a Non-Executive Director at Bakkavor and Scholars’ Education Trust.
