Claire Donoghue is Senior Director of Machine Learning and Computer Vision at AstraZeneca. She leads a talented team in AstraZeneca's "hub", which provides tools and data-driven insights across the organisation. The innovations of her team are used from pre-clinical to phase 3 clinical trials, across the biopharma business which includes respiratory, cardiovascular and neurological diseases. Prior to working in AstraZeneca, she was a technical leader in AI at 3M, creating innovative products which use machine learning and computer vision to deliver value across a range of industries from aerospace, automotive, consumer, traffic and occupational health and safety. Claire gained a PhD from Imperial College in Machine Learning & Computer Vision for diagnosis and prognosis of Osteoarthritis and went on to complete two postdocs. Claire started her career as a computer scientist and software engineer in an investment bank.
