Bonnie is the Head of Research Data & Analytics at AstraZeneca. She leads a global team of data and AI engineers with a mission to transform the way we discover and develop medicines through data, analytics and AI. Her team includes Data & Analytics platforms – focused on maximizing the value from our key data assets, as well as AI Engineering teams – using the latest advances in deep learning, graph approaches and ML Ops to build scalable and repeatable AI systems for R&D. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Bonnie spent 5 years in Data Science at GSK where she led teams to deliver machine learning and analytics pipelines for scientists in Biopharma and Human Genetics and played a leading role to build and grow R&D wide data science capabilities, community and strategy. She also holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from The City University of New York, where she focused on the application of quantum mechanical approaches to study the structural, spectroscopic and mechanistic properties of biological molecules.
